My dad was a MP. in the 5th division 3rd Army under General Patton. They were also known as the Red Diamonds. My dad passed away in 2013 . He lost his dog tags in a forest in Germany. He was shaving and hung them on a tree branch. I know it is a long shot but maybe someone came across them and passed them thru the family. His name was Angel Banuelos.

Hi, Francesca - I found some dogtags at a yard sale today and came across your site while trying to ID them. VERY interesting story about your uncle, He was truly a hero. On a side note, your Mom and Dad both taught me at KCHS in the mid to late '70s.

My Dad, Charles William Byrd, was a WWII paralyzed veteran. He was wounded when a bullet passed through his dog tags. The dog tags were taken during a breakin years ago. My sons and I were heart-broken at the time and remain so. We would love to be able to pass these on to my grandsons as a memory of the wonderful person they never knew. Any help would be so appreciated. Patricia Urban
