My late brother, Phillip H. Moore, was a WWII vet, landing on Omaha Beach on June 6. Going through his memorabilia, I found these dog tags, not his: SAMUEL MONTGOMERY 74745884 T43 D A P Good luck.

Hello Everyone, My father's USN WWII dog tags were lost in Braselton Georgia in the late 1970s at Road Atlanta. Finding them would be wonderful. His name on the tags: Leslie Arthur PAUL (last name PAUL). Always hopeful they will be found and returned - by someone finding a note like this one.

I started collecting dog tags from everywhere I could find. These are history and part of someones family. So far from my research and looking and digging and being nosey I have been able to send 5 back so far to the families. There are quite a few where the families have died out. What I do in that case is I make a memorial and find out all I can about these individuals and eventually I would like to make a memorial page and honor them that way. Its my way of letting the world know even if for a moment they are not forgotten. Thanks for what you do as well. Jennifer

Francesca you are an amazing woman. As a Vet and the father of 3 soldiers and come from a family of 15 generations of military, I thank you for what you are doing. Most civilians that have no connection to anybody in the military have no clue what these soldiers and their families go through. To be able to get a little piece back of their loved one is about the best thing there is. May the good Lord continue to smile down on you and all those that help you in your quest.

I live on the island of Maui and a few years back as we were clearing our property I found a tag. We are close to what was called "CampMaui" which was a training camp. I believe the soldiers would do their r & r on and near our current property. I would love to return this to the family. I've tried to search on line but no luck. Tag is in perfect condition and is USMCR. Aloha, Connie
